 | This cabin kitchen is formaldahyde free, uses low voc finishes, sustainably harvested wood, and tree bark veneer door and drawer faces, among other green features. | | The corner sink maximizes the functionality and space in this this small kitchen. The cabinets are complemented by a floor of sustainably harvested madrone and a hutch made of reclaimed wood. | | While you can't smell it from here, the built-in butcher block is made from reclaimed pickle vats. The counter top is Squak Mt. Stone--a wonderfully textured concrete like material made using recycled newsprint and fly ash from coal furnaces. It does double duty as a passive heat source--absorbing the day's heat and returning it to the room at night. |
